Dale Joseph Mayeux

BROUILLETTE - Funeral services for Mr.  will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2013 at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in the Brouillette Community with Fr. Jose Pallipurath officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery #2. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville. 

Mr. Mayeux age 70 of Marksville, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 at his residence in Marksville. After a long battle with cancer, God saw he was tired and called him home. He worked for Welfare and Family services for many years and has worked for the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office for the past 28 years. Dale was an avid hunter, fisherman, and craw fisherman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. 

 

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Geneva Armand Mayeux of Marksville; one son, Dwight (Tammy) Mayeux of Marksville; two daughters, Kimberly Lacombe (special friend, Kevin) of Marksville, and Monique (Kane) Gagnard of Marksville; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. 

Visitation will be held at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and on Monday from 8 a.m. until shortly before the time of services. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
