MARKSVILLE, La. (May 17, 2011) – Paragon Casino Resort welcomes back fan favorite KC & The Sunshine Band to the Mari Showroom stage Thursday, July 21 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $35 and are now on sale.
This concert, which is sure to get people dancing, marks the Grammy-award winning band’s 17th performance in the Mari Showroom, and all previous performances have sold out. In fact, KC & The Sunshine Band is the most requested act in Paragon Casino Resort’s history.
KC & The Sunshine Band was founded in 1973 in Miami , FL. They are most known for such disco hits as “That’s the Way (I Like It),” “Keep It Comin’ Love,” “Please Don’t Go,” and of course, “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty.”
The band has been nominated for nine Grammys (receiving three awards) and selling millions of records. They have had 18 singles on the Top U.S. 100 chart with five number one singles, 16 of which were included on the U.S. R&B chart with four number one singles.
With a career spanning almost 40 years thus far, KC & The Sunshine Band continue to perform for millions. On August 30, KC & The Sunshine Band was presented with A Living Legend Award from The Classic Gold Music Awards at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood Florida .
