Avoyelles Parish Sheriff Doug Anderson and Bunkie Chief of Police Mary Fanara would like to warn the citizens of Bunkie and the surrounding “Hail Storm” affected areas of Avoyelles Parish of the potential for Contractor Fraud. Sheriff Anderson said that his office has received many inquiries relating to out of town contractors moving into the storm damaged areas conducting door to door roof solicitation for roof and other storm related repairs.

While most licensed or registered contractors are honest, hardworking and financially responsible people there are those unscrupulous individuals who are looking to make a quick profit providing shoddy work.
