44th Cottonport Christmas on the Bayou Parade

The 44th Annual Cottonport Christmas on the Bayou Parade will will be held Sunday, December 13 beginning at 1 p.m.

The entries will be judged at 11:30 a.m. on the parade route. Winners in the different parade entry categories will be announced at the Cotton Queen on Cottonport Ave. at the end of the parade. A trophy for overall winner for the best all around entry in the parade will also be awarded.

The town of Cottonport is not liable for any accidents that may occur, so please be careful. Bon fires and barbeque pits will not be allowed along the bayou; and no open containers are allowed. Law enforcement personnel will be on duty.

Christmas t-shirts are available for sale at of a cost of youth-$10 and adult-$15.

Last night, a fireworks display was held near the northern end of the main bayou.
