Robert Gaspard Jr., 42, of 198 Cadu Lane, Marksville, was charged with felony theft and malfeasance in office. Walker said three ipads owned by the Avoyelles Parish School Board were stolen.
He said Gaspard said he had sold the iPads to his nieces.
Gaspard had been on leave without pay in recent weeks from the school district.
