Dr. and Mrs. Zack Therrell Buckalew, III are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter Katherine Ruth Buckalew of Shreveport to Marc Mouton Noel, II of Bellevue, Washington.

The couple will exchange vows in a 3 p.m. ceremony on December 18, 2010 at Calvary Episcopal Church in Bunkie. A reception will follow at Ashland Plantation in Bunkie.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Helen Ruth Bennett of Pineville and the late Frank David Bennett and Mrs. Frances Ethlyn Buckalew of Pineville and the late Zack Therrell Buckalew, Jr.

Katie is a graduate of Pineville High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She was a member of Delta gamma Fraternity. Katie is currently a third year medical

student at LSU Health Center in Shreveport.

The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marc Mouton Noel of Prairieville. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Osler Noel of Prairieville and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Guy Adams of White Castle.

Marc is a graduate of Catholic High School in Baton Rouge and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He is currently a software developer for Microsoft Corporation.
