Madison-Morgan wed in Monroe

Casey Louise Madison and Jonathan Morgan Nicholson exchanged marriage vows in the beautiful gardens of Layton Castle in Monroe, La. at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2010. Rev. Bob Claunch, New Life Church, officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Janice Madison and James Madison, both of Monroe. Casey is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe T. Bone of Shreveport and the late Mr. and Mrs. B.L. Madison of Bastrop, La.

The groom is the son of Michael and Cheryl Nicholson of Monroe. Jonathan is the grandson of Mr. J.C. Nicholson of Lafayette, La., the late Connie and Lou Petrus of Bastrop, Andrew Grimes and the late Ethel Morgan Grimes of Hessmer, La.

The ceremony began with a prelude of piano and harp instruments.

Casey was escorted by her father. Her sister, Amber Lee Madison, served as maid of honor. Logan Ledford served as Best Man.

The bride arrived like a princess for the ceremony in a beautiful horse-drawn carriage. She carried a simple bouquet of calla lilies. She wore an ivory crinkle chiffon bridal gown with a sweetheart beaded lace bodice and a sweep train. She wore the groom’s mother’s wedding pearls to complement her gown.

The bride and groom are graduates of Ouachita Parish High Schoo. The bride, a former University of Louisiana at Monroe cheerleader, will graduate from the Radiologist Technologist program at ULM in May 2011. The groom recently received his degree in Mechanical Engineering degree at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La. where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He is employed by Halliburton in New Iberia, La.

The reception was held near the carriage house on the grounds of Layton Castle. Following their honeymoon to Panama City Beach, Fla., the couple will make their home in Monroe.
