Marksville roars away for 48-6 win over Bunkie in Catskin game

The Marksville Tigers ripped off 48 straight points after Bunkie jumped out to a 6-0 first quarter lead to win the Catskin game 48-6. It was the regular season opener for both teams.

Marksville would rush for 417 yards on 47 carries and had 430 yards of total offense. Jake Dunbar led the Tigers with 131 yards rushing on 17 carries and four touchdowns. Peyton Dunbar added 109 yards on 14 carries. Stephron Lee added a 67 yard touchdown run while DeMayron Lee had 36 yards rushing on five carrie and scored two touchdowns.

Bunkie would rush for 184 yards on 41 carries. Malcolm Jurrell paced Bunkie with 98 yards on 14 carries while Antonio Benjamin had 87 yards on 14 carries.

Marksville travels to Winnfield next Friday night while Bunkie travels to Alexandria to play Menard next Friday.
