Jason Rolls, of Fort Dix, N.J. alleged shot Michael Hall, a 32-year-old Krotz Springs firefighter just hours after Rolls and his wife Twaila were married.
Twaila had recently divorced from Hall, who showed up at the newlweds’ home not long afer the couple returned from their wedding ceremony.
Rolls told police he had put a .40 caliber piston on the couch when he and his new bride arrive at the house.
Hall refused his ex-wife’s demand that he leave and entered the living room, where Rolls told police he was sitting on the couch.
The victim grabbed Rolls by the shirt, Rolls grabbed the gun and shot Hall, who had no weapon, in the chest, according to police records.
Records indicated Rolls had told his brother to bring the gun to him when he was picked up at the airport, that he needed it for the wedding weekend.
