Elizabeth Caitlin Stampley and Robert Dean White Jr. exchanged vows on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at 7:00 in the evening at Asbury Methodist Church in Lafayette, Louisiana. Reverend Richard Humphries officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. William Stampley, Jr. of Lafayette. She is the granddaughter of Williams Stampley & the late Ruby Rae Stampley of Yazoo City, MS, the late Guy Britton Mioton of River Ridge, and the late Betty White Mioton of New Orleans.

Elizabeth is a 2005 graduate of Acadiana High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science. She is currently pursuing a degree in Radiography at Louisiana State University in Eunice.

The groom is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Robert White of Cottonport, Louisiana. He is the grandson of the late Richard & Rachel White of Stillwater, OK, the late Joseph Devillier of Goudeau, LA and Marie Michel of Baton Rouge, LA.

Robert is a 1999 graduate of Bunkie High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he earned a Bachelor of Sciencein Criminal Justice. He is currently employed by the Lafayette Police Department.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an understated ball gown of ivory luxe taffeta. The gown featured a v-neckline and tank bodice with a sash of crystal detailing on the natural waist. The back of the dress was accented with covered buttons and a cathedral length train. A simple cathedral-length veil completed the ensemble.

The bride carried a clutch of white hydrangea accented with stephanotis, ivory roses and light blush roses.

Matron of Honor was Sarah Stampley Pepper, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lindsey Brantley, Karen Childs Crozier, Rebekah Dial, and Ashlyne Mullen, all friends of the bride.

Best man was Brian White, brother of the groom. Groomsmenwere Joshua Constantine, Brennon Ducote, Ryan Richard, and Justin Tassin, all friends of the groom.

Ushers were John and William Downer, both cousins of the bride. Readers were Renee Brouillette, sister of the groom, and Katey Jefferey, friend of the bride.

Following the wedding, a reception was held at The Petroleum Club of Lafayette. After returning from a honeymoon to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
