The Fox Performing Arts Center Children’s Summer Musical Workshop will present “The Emperor’s New Clothes” this week. Performances will be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, July 26, 27 and 28 at 7 p.m. nightly and Sunday, July 29 at 2:30 p.m. All tickets are $10 each and must be purchased at the door of the theatre in Marksville.

“The Emperor’s New Clothes” is written by Karen Tate with music and lyrics by Bill Francoeur. The story follows a hypochondriac emperor who has a love of beautiful clothes. He is tricked by two con artists who sell him an imaginary royal wardrobe. He goes among the townspeople in only his underwear.
