Funeral services for Mr. Tolton (T.J.) John Normand, Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville with Rev’s Dobie Perkins, Huey Tarpley & Grady Dodge officiating. Interment will be in Vick Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville. Mr. Normand, age 69, of Vick, passed away at Rapides Regional Hospital in Alexandria on Friday, Aug. 18, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tolton & Essie Clark Normand & brother, James Normand. He was a Farmer, Cattleman, Trucker & member of the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff Dept..
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Darlene Doyle Normand of Vick, 2 daughters, Julie Kay Turner (Keith) of Dry Creek, Lisa Gail Giles (Kirk) of Prairieville, La., 2 sisters, Edna Faye McCann (Reuben) of Effie, Essie Mae Decuir of Vick, 2 Grandchildren, Cameron Turner & Carlton Turner, numerous nieces & nephews and a host of other family members & friends.
Visitation will be held in the Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. & resume on Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
Pallbearers are Reuben McCann III, Alan Williams, Ken Bordelon, Nathan Beaubouef, Robert John Cole, Greg Dalham, Weldon Normand & David Broussard. Honorary pallbearers are Melvin Clark, Everette Moreau, Kenneth Bordelon, Troy Lofton, Roger Matthews , Nolan Ryan, Pete Blackmon & Patrick Gauthier.
