Natalie Jo Russell and Gregory Decuir were united in holy matrimony at St. Patrick Cathedral in Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday, April 24. Father Richard Flores officiated the ceremony at 3:30 in the afternoon.
    
	The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Russell of Grandview, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Russell of Grandview, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Johnson of Denton, Texas and the late Pat Ray Wilson.  Natalie is a 2001 graduate of Martin High School in Arlington, Texas and received in 2005 a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Texas in San Marcos, Texas. She is currently employed as a Project Coordinator for Robinson Creative in Southlake, Texas.

	The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Decuir of Marksville, Louisiana. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jean-Marie De Decker of Belgium and Mrs. Iva Lee Printz and the late Alfred Decuir of Marksville. Gregory is a 2001 graduate of Marksville High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Aviation in 2004 from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. He is currently employed as an airline pilot for American Eagle Airlines in Fort Worth, Texas.

	The bride wore a diamond white Sophia Tolli gown with a chapel length train. The strapless tulle over satin mermaid gown featured hand-beaded and lace accents. The bride carried a bouquet of white roses, green orchids, deep purple calla lilies and peacock feathers wrapped in satin ribbon.

	The bride was attended by her Maid of Honor Kari Russell, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Samantha Decuir Aument sister of the groom, Andrea Von Quintus, Rachel Leshner, Michelle Higdon and Sabrina Winder all friends of the bride. Flower girls were Brighton Wilson, Jillian Wilson and Jenni-Claire Liming cousins of the bride.

	The groom was attended by his Best Man Luke Quebedeaux, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Francois Decuir, brother of the groom, Joe Russell Jr., brother of the bride, Christopher Aument, brother-in-law of the groom, Nathan Loftin and Blake Borrel, both friends of the groom. Ring Bearer was Tanner Liming, cousin of the bride. John Kahl and Luke Borrel, both friends of the groom served as ushers. Reader was Randy Decuir cousin of the groom.

	 Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the YWCA in downtown Fort Worth, Texas. After returning from a honeymoon in Costa Rica, the couple will reside in Fort Worth, Texas.

Sarah Anne Armand and Justin Michael Tigner were united in marriage on Saturday, June 19, 2010 during a 6:30 pm ceremony at St. Mary Assumption Catholic Church in Cottonport. Father Anthony Dharmarj officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Zelian J. Arrnand of Cottonport and Mary Jo Hamilton Broussard of Lafayette. She is the granddaughter of Anna Armand and the late Leroy Armand of Cottonport and Mr. & Mrs. James K. Hamilton Sr. (Jim and Jo) of Bunkie presently living in Mansura. She is a 2003 graduate of Bunkie High School and a 2005 graduate of CTC (Cosmetology Training Center) at Lafayette. She is currently employed as a hairstylist in Lafayette.

The groom is the son of Deborah & John Juneau of Plaucheville and Mike and Melinda Tigner of Effie. He is the grandson of the late Mr. & Mrs. Maxie Jeansonne of Plaucheville and Mr. Bill Tigner of Denham Springs and Judy Thomas of Benton, Arkansas. He is a 2001 graduate of Avoyelles High School. He is employed as an engineer for Union Pacific Railroad.

Matron of honor was Lindsey Barras, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amber Burns, cousin and godchild of the bride, Jamie Armand, sister of the bride, Hope Chenevert, Rande Goodly, Mallory Acrey, Nicole Bordelon, Amelia Richie, and Kayla Couvillion, friends of the bride. The flower girls were Alexis and Jada Armand, nieces of the bride.

Best man was Jacob Buchanan, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Jordan Tigner and Taylor Gilley, brothers of the groom, Troy Chenevert and Joshua Tigner, cousins of the groom, Jade Lambert, Hobie Manuel, Chad Lemoine and Adam Lemoine, friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Kolten Tigner, brother of the groom. Ushers included Billy Tigner and Keith Ducote, family and friends of the groom and bride.

Readers were Anette Lacombe and Denise Hamilton, family of the bride and groom.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at Avoyelles Plaze Ballroom in Mansura, LA.

After returning from their honeymoon to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Plaucheville.

Mary Ann and Harvey L. Hales Jr. of Monroe are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsay Eason Hales, to Brandon Jude Scott, son of Becky and William “Scotty” Scott of Cottonport, La.

The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Eason and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Lea Hales Sr. of Monroe. Lindsay is a graduate of Neville High School and Louisiana State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Gifted Education. She will be teaching at Avoyelles Public Charter School in Mansura, La. in the fall.

The future groom is the grandson of Mrs. Florence Scott and the late Mr. William “Bill” Scott of Cottonport and the late Mr. and Mrs. Levy Michel of Mansura. Brandon is a graduate of Bunkie High School and Louisiana State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. He also earned a Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center. Brandon is currently working as the law clerk for the 12th Judicial District Court and will practice law in Marksville, La.

Following the wedding on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, the couple will reside in Cottonport.

Lauren Elizabeth Murphy and Jeremy Joseph Smith were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on Friday May 21, 2010, at the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist. The Nuptial Mass was celebrated by the Reverend O. Joseph Breaux.



The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Charles Murphy of Lafayette, Louisiana. She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Walter Rebouche' and the late Donald LaBorde of Bunkie, Louisiana and Mrs. Mary Patricia Murphy and the late Charles Murphy of Lake Charles, Louisiana. A graduate of Saint Thomas More High School, Lauren attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She went on to receive a Juris Doctorate degree from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As an Assistant Attorney: General, Lauren is a Criminal Prosecutor for the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The groom is the son of Mr. & Mrs. William Joseph Smith, Jr. of Bunkie, Louisiana. He is the grandson of Mr. & Mrs. Clifton Redmon and the late Mr. & Mrs. William Smith, Sr. of Bunkie, Louisiana. Jeremy attended Louisiana State University at Alexandria where he graduated with a degree of Science in Radiologic Technology. He is currently employed in the Division of Cardiac Electrophysiology with Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a haute couture gown by designer Maggie Sottero. The avant-garde satin gown featured a beaded asymmetric shoulder strap accented by alternating diagonal pleats to the synched hip area. The elegant v-back enunciated the satin covered buttons which cascaded through the lavish bustles accented by rich beaded embellishments of Swarovski crystals. She wore an elegant elbow-length veil of ivory-silk illusion edged with crystal embroidery.

Ms. Nicole Leigh Murphy, sister of the bride, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were, sisters of the bride, Kellie Murphy and Danielle Murphy, Olivia Smith, Lindsey Riche', Carrie Roy, Katie Ducrest Whittington, Margaret Lalande Layrisson, Jana Godshall and Claire Goodson. Flower girls were Layken Marie Middlebrooks, Ella Venable and Molly Frances Venable.

Best men were William Joseph Smith, Jr., father of the groom, and Cade Michael Armand. Groomsmen were, Lucas Murphy, Brian Murphy, Justin Doucet, Addison Thompson, Alex Brochard, Tucker Dicharry, Johnny Webb and Timothy Marchand. Ushers were Jake Buckley, Casey Redman and Nicholas Riche'. The Ring Bearer was Garrett Brewer.

Readers were, Brittany Love Courtenay, Ashley Woods and Kasey Baldwin. Gift bearers were Patrick Isaacks, James Isaacks and Claire Brewer.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at River Oaks in Lafayette. Following the honeymoon in Antigua, British West Indies, the couple will reside in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Alissa Rose Piazza and Jason Michael Tassin exchanged vows on February 6, 2010 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Marksville Louisiana. Very Reverend Stephen Scott Chemino, V.G. and Reverend Rusty Rabalais co-officiated in the 7 pm nuptial mass.



The bride is the daughter of the Honorable Angelo, III and Gwendolyn Chelette Piazza of Marksville, Louisiana. Maternal grandparents of the bride are the late Emitt and Brettie Chelette. Paternally, the bride’s grandparents are Almond Patricia Key Piazza and Angelo, “Jr.” Piazza of Effie, Louisiana.

The groom, is the son of Linda Marcotte Pharr of New Iberia, Louisiana and Richard Tassin of Marksville, Louisiana. The groom’s maternal grandparents are the late Ira and Kathleen Marcotte. Paternal grandparents are the late Cleo and Theresa Tassin.

Given by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride carried a cascade of ivory cymbidium orchids. For her special day, the bride chose a custom designed Jasmine ball gown of pleated Italian satin which featured a v neckline and dropped waist. The bodice and cathedral length train were embellished with intricate embroidery and hand beading of pearls and Swarovski crystals. Her fingertip veil was accented with a pearl and Swarovski crystal tiara.

Serving her sister as matron of honor was Carla Sophia Piazza-Wood. Bridesmaids were Jessica Lemoine of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jessica Jimenez of Los Angeles, California, Daren Deshotel-Riemer of Dumfries, Virginia. Junior Bridesmaid was Ava Soleil Tassin-Prejean, niece and godchild of the groom of Houston, Texas

Chad Tassin served his brother as the best man. Groomsmen were, Jamie Broussard, and Josh Wheeler friends of the groom and Ross Piazza, brother of the bride. Caleb Wood, nephew and godchild of the bride was Junior groomsman.

Flower girls were Alexis Roszell cousin of the bride and McKenzie Candebat niece of the groom.

Holy Scripture Readings were conveyed by Frances Laborde Trougott.

Sean Brouillette was vocalist and pianist while Theresa Thevenote provided the nuptial organ arrangements. Soloist Leigh Erin Cole Fryery sang “The Lord’s Prayer” after communion and “Ave Maria” in honor of the Blessed Mother and the mothers of the couple.

Ushering the guest were Angelo “Bubba” Piazza, IV, brother of the bride and Mark Ryan Culotta of Metairie, cousin of the bride.

Eucharistic Ministers were Vickie and Don Husbands of Marksville. Gift bearers were Grace Ann Caubarreaux, cousin of the bride, Rachel Helminger and Madison Bordelon of Mansura. Altar servers were Emily and Rebecca Dauzat of Marksville and program attendants were Jordan Moss and Nicole Lajaunie.

The band, “Fat Boy South”, entertained wedding guests at a candlelight buffet dinner and dance reception held at the Paragon Ballroom in Marksville, Louisiana.

The bride is a graduate of Louisiana State University and will receive her Juris Doctorate upon graduation from Southern University Law School in May, 2010.

The groom is a boilermaker foreman, and is involved in multiple business ventures locally, which includes cattle farming and rental property investments.

The couple will reside in Marksville, Louisiana.

	Miss Carolyn Sherrie DeCuir and Mr. Kevin Philip Landry were united in the sacrament of Holy Matrimony on Saturday, October 17 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marksville.

	Officiating at the 6 p.m. Nuptial Mass were Rev. Rusty Rabalais, Rev. Chad Partain, Rev. Abraham Varghese Kulathunkal and Monsignor Jon Timmermans.

	Carolyn is the daughter of Randy and Susan DeCuir of Marksville. Her maternal grandparents are Daniel Normand and the late Sonia Normand of Marksville. Her paternal grandparents are the late Hilary and Lucille DeCuir of Marksville. 

	Kevin is the son of Philip and Pauline Landry of Breaux Bridge. His maternal grandparents are Lité Bienvenu and the late Joseph Andrew Bienvenu, Jr. of Breaux Bridge. His paternal grandparents are Joseph B. Landry and the late Verna Landry of St. Martinville.

	After a procession down the church aisle to a trumpet flourish of “The Prince of Denmark,” the bride was given away in marriage by her father. She wore a Royal Duchess ivory satin gown, adorned with hand-beaded lace appliques, pearls and crystals designed by Pronovias Couture of Barcelona, Spain. The strapless gown had beaded lace accents throughout the rouched bodice and the full, A-line skirt had cascades of asymmetric draping in a waterfall effect.  She carried a hand-tied bouquet of Black Magic red roses with painted miniature calla lilies and crystal accents.

 	The bride's maid of honor was her sister, Marissa DeCuir, and matron of honor was Jessica Guillory, her friend. Bridesmaids were Leslie Roy, April Mayeux Minyard and Kammie Goulas, friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Hayley Schrakamp, cousin of the bride, and flower girl was Abby Landry, niece of the groom.

	The groom's best man was his brother, Aaron Landry. Groomsmen were Brandon Scott, Will Deaton and Ross Rials, friends of the groom; and  André Pourciau, brother-in-law of the groom. Junior groomsman was Alex Landry, nephew of the groom.

	Ushers were Paul DeCuir, brother of the bride; Dennis DeCuir, cousin of the bride; and Lea Wilkes, friend of the groom.

	Altar servers were Jacob and Jonah Fitzgerald, first cousins of the bride.

	Readers of the liturgy were Andrea Pourciau, sister of the groom, and Andrea Khoury, first cousin of the bride. Prayers of the faithful were read by James Hilary DeCuir, Jr., uncle of the bride.

	Presenting the gifts to the altar were Pam Dupuy, Godmother of the bride; Thomas DeCuir, Jr., cousin of the bride; and Noreen Bienvenu and Philip DeCoux, Godparents of the groom.

	Vocalist Betty Moreau sang the “Ave Maria” as the bride and groom presented roses at the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary and to their mothers. Sam Fitzgerald, first cousin of the bride, performed a solo of “You Raise Me Up” at the offertory.  He and his mother, Kathleen Normand Fitzgerald, aunt of the bride, also sang in duet “The Prayer” and “Breathe.” They were accompanied on the organ and piano by Theresa Thevenote.  Trumpeter was Jimmy Armand.

	The bride's parents hosted a reception following the wedding ceremony at Le Manoir Fleuri in Moreauville. Assisting at the reception were Cathy Dupuy Bennett, Mary Coco Nuss and Debbie Dupuy Didier.

	On the Friday evening prior to the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Red River Grill in Marksville.

	After a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple makes their home in Dallas, Texas where they are both employed. Kevin is a Petroleum Engineer for Energy Resource Technology and Carolyn works for Knowledge Learning Corporation.
