According to Sheriff Doug Anderson seven Avoyelles residents were arrested on a variety of narcotics charges and one fugitive from St. Landry Parish was arrested near Bunkie on a warrant for Forceible Rape after the A.P.S.O. Narcotics Task Force concluded multiple investigations this week.

Arrested were:

1.) Anthony Bradford, age 32, Cottonport

                   Charges: Poss. of Sch. II CDS w/intent

                                    Poss. of Sch. CDS IV w/intent

                                    Contempt failure to comply (felony)

                                    Contempt failure to comply

Bradford was arrested in Cottonport after deputies found him to be in possession of a large quantity of suspected Ecstasy tabs and a small quantity of Loritab.

2.) Ryan Antoine, age 21, Marksville

3.) Rondell Dorsey, age 19, Marksville

4.) Samaj Sampson, age 21, Marksville

All three were arrested and charged with Possession of CDS Schedule III w/intent to distribute. The three were alleged to be in possession of a large quantity of the CDS Vicoprofen.

5.) Clayton Johnson, 741 Lewis St., Eunice, age 26

Charges: Forcible Rape (St. Landry Parish Warrant)

Negligent Injury (St. Landry Parish Warrant)

Deputies located Johnson at 7478 Hwy 115, Bunkie after investigators were notified by St. Landry authorities that Johnson fled their parish and was possibly now a fugitive hiding in Avoyelles. Johnson was taken into custody by Avoyelles deputies after some resistance and later returned to St. Landry Parish to face pending charges. The residence was occupied by

6.) Floyd Williams, age 50 and

7.) Linda Williams, age 31 who were also charged with Possession of CDS Schedule I after investigators seized a small quantity of suspected Marijuana in the residence.

All arrestees were booked into the Avoyelles Sheriff’s Office DC #1. Bond is pending.
