Funeral services for Mary Lee Mayeaux of Dupont will take place on Monday, March 21, 2011, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Dupont, beginning at 11:00am, with Fr. George Krosfield officiating. Visitations will be held at the Escudé Funeral Home of Cottonport on Sunday, March 20, 2011, from 2:00pm to 10:00pm and will resume on Monday morning at 8:00am. Burial services will commence at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.

Mary Mayeaux, age 85, passed away at the Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital on Thursday, March 17, 2011. She was a lifelong member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Altar Society and retired from the Avoyelles Parish School Board. She is preceded in death by her; husband, Harold Mayeaux; parents, Jean Pierre & Eunice Ducote Dupont; sisters, Della Guillory, Mary Nell Gauthier; brothers, Stanley “Buddy” Dupont, Roy Dupont; grandchild, Margaret Plauche; great-grandchild, Donnie Ray Deshotel. She is survived by her; sons, Ernest Mayeaux & wife Cynthia, Russell Mayeaux & wife Donna, James Mayeaux; daughters, Anna Dean Lemoine & husband James, Beverly Mayeaux, all of Dupont. She is also survived by; nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren; & numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Konor Mayeaux, Warren John Lena, David Mayeaux, Kellen Bordelon, Troy Quirk, David Bonn; and crossbearer, Ava Coco.
