On April 8, 2011 at about 1:00 am, the Franklin Parish Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a shooting at the Highway 4 Bar in Tensas Parish. Tensas and Franklin Parish Deputies responded to the scene and discovered the body of Jody Ezell (w/m 50 yoa from Gilbert, LA) outside the bar.
Louisiana State Police Detectives and the Tensas Parish Sheriff's Office began a joint investigation. The Louisiana State Police Crime Lab also responded and processed the scene. The collaborative efforts of the agencies involved resulted in the arrest of Latisha R. Rashall (w/f 42 yoa, from Newellton, LA). Rashall was booked at the Tensas Detention Center for the Second Degree Murder of Jody Ezell.
The investigation is ongoing.
