Avoyelles under a burn ban due to dry conditions

Despite flooding conditions in areas of the parish, there are many areas under drought conditions. On Tuesday, May 31, Avoyelles Parish Police Juror Mickey Romano put in place effective immediately, a “Burn Ban” for Avoyelles Parish due to dry weather conditions. This order will remain in effect until further notice.
