Famous Louisiana Alligator Hunter Troy Landry in Paragon’s Bayou Themed Atrium July 23



MARKSVILLE, La. , (July 8, 2011) – Paragon Casino Resort announced that famous Louisiana alligator hunters Troy and Jacob Landry from the hit series Swamp People, will be coming to Paragon’s Atrium on Saturday, July 23. The famous duo will be available from 3-5 p.m., signing autographs for guests. Photo opportunities are also available. This event is free and open to the public.



Swamp People is a popular new television series starring father and son team, Troy and Jacob Landry. The famous gator hunters help set record TV ratings during the first season of Swamp People in August of 2010. An estimated four million viewers tuned in to watch this adventured filled and often comedic real life documentary of skilled and brave swamp men entertain us by man handling large alligators in Southern Louisiana ’s backyard swamps.



Filmed in the Assumption Parish Cajun-French town of Pierre Part, Troy and Jacob Landry like many of their neighbors have committed to “living off of the land” as a way of life. The film crew of Swamp People follows Troy and Jacob and several other gator hunters as they explore the murky watered swamps and mysterious bayous of Southern Louisiana and the Atchafalaya Basin in their quest to trap monster gators during a thirty-day alligator season.



For many viewers, the highlight of the show is when Troy shouts his famous catch phrase “choot em” in that thick, Cajun accent at the climax of every hunt. Join Troy and Jacob Landry in Paragon’s Atrium.
