MARKSVILLE, La., (October 17, 2011) – Paragon Casino Resort is excited to announce “Zydeco Night” featuring Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Cha’s and Buckwheat Zydeco at Paragon Casino Resort on Friday, November 18 at 9 p.m. Doors open at 8 p.m. and tickets are $10.



Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Cha’s will kick off the night with their high-energy sounds that will keep you dancing all night long. Nathan and his band have toured the world bringing their unique brand of authentic Zydeco music to fans around the world and Louisiana music halls for over 20 years. Williams grew up in St. Martinville, LA and has recorded seven albums with his band.



Buckwheat Zydeco is one of the most popular Zydeco bands in Louisiana and has performed with such notable musicians as Eric Clapton, U2 and the Boston Pops. The band has also performed for President Clinton twice at both of his inaugurations. Buckwheat Zydeco has also been nominated for two Grammy Awards. The band performs at numerous music festivals including New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, San Deigo Street Scene, Montreaux Jazz Fest and Newport Folk Fest, just to name a few. The band has released 21 albums since 1979.
