Polls across Louisiana have closed, as voters decided several statewide races and a slew of local ones. The state election site at the Secretry of State Office has crashed and has not been restored as of 10 p.m.

BESE candidate Jim Guillory of Plaucheville won a slot in a run-off in a very close race for District 8.

With 533 of 540 precincts reporting:

It has been projected that Gov. Bobby Jindal has been re-elected.

"We have given our all; we will continue to give our all, right up to the day we leave office," Jindal said. "That, you can count on. We will give it 100 percent every single moment."

Also projected as winners are Agriculture Commissioner Mike Strain, and Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon.
