Funeral services for Mr. Steven Brouillette will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2012 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers in Marksville. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery in Mansura. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mr. Brouillette, age 59, of Prairieville, formally of Marksville, passed away, Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at his residence in Prairieville. Steve and his business partner, Zarko, started West Africa Catering 11 years ago. West Africa Catering is located in Nigeria, and now has 1600 employees.

Survivors include his wife, Gail Coco Brouillette of Prairieville, one son, Beau Brouillette of Baton Rouge, three step-sons, Jason Bordelon of Baton Rouge, Matt Bordelon and wife Denise of Frisco, TX., Nick Bordelon of Austin, TX., step-mother, Thelma Bordelon Brouillette of Mansura, two sisters, Stephanie Brouillette Pierite and husband Marshall of Mansura, Susan McAnally of Monroe, three grandchildren, Christian Bordelon, Breanna Bordelon, and Madison Bordelon. Steve is also survived by his mentor, teacher, father figure, and loving friend, Ronald Mayeux of Hessmer.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services in the funeral home. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Pallbearers for the funeral service were Tyler Gagnard, John Douglas, Eric Mayeux, Kirby Roy, Bruce Guillory and Randall Ducote.
