Funeral services for Betty Fan Bennett will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, February 10, 2012 in the First Baptist Church of Pine Prairie with the Rev. Keith Sheridan officiating. Committal service will follow in the Turkey Creek Cemetery under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Betty, 80, of Turkey Creek, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in the Bayou Vista Community Care Center in Bunkie. She was born on May 7, 1931 in Evangeline Parish to Charlie and Mae Andrus Forman. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pine Prairie and a homemaker and was residing in Bayou Vista Manor Nursing Home in Bunkie.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Bennett; parents, Charlie and Mae Forman; sister, Florence Powers; and granddaughter, Leticia Attales Fontenot.

She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory, one daughter, Joan Shahan of Turkey Creek; one son, Greg Bennett (Lesa) of Lena; one brother, Charley Forman (Helen) of Marshall, Texas; one brother-in-law, Raymas Powers of Turkey Creek; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Attales Ritter of Cypress Creek, Jessica Bennett LeBlanc (John) of Baton Rouge, William Earl Bennett of Lena, Charles Fontenot of Clearwater, Amanda Stahan of Moss Bluff, Amber Phillips of Woodworth, and Joshua Stahan (Jamie) also of Woodworth; ten great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Chloe Leger, Jacob and John Fontenot, Peyton, Evie, and Riley LeBlanc, Benton Shahan, Camren Phillips, and Tatum Shahan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
