MARKSVILLE- Funeral services for Mrs. Linster B. Gaspard will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville with Father Paul Kunnumpuram officiating. Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Moncla. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mrs. Gaspard, age 97, of Hickory Hill, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Applionaire and Lucille Gaspard Bordelon.

Survivors include five sons, Nolan Gaspard of Marksville, Joseph Gaspard of Metairie, Earl Gaspard of Fifth Ward, Carl Gaspard of Echo, and Whitfield Clark of South Carolina, one daughter, Brenda Smigura of Centerpoint, 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held in Parlor A of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home on Monday, March 26, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services in the funeral home.  A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Pallbearers for the funeral service were Landon Theriot, Trey Mayeux, Terry Gaspard, David Smigura, Stanley Gaspard, Logan Dupuy.  Honorary pallbearers were Cody Dukes, and Robert Bonnette.
