Funeral services for Uray James Chenevert will be at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Plaucheville at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012 with Father Charles Morgan officiating. Burial will take place in the Mater Dolorosa Mausoleum in Plaucheville. Arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.

Uray James Chenevert, age 80, of Plaucheville passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Marigold House in Alexandria.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Whim Chenevert and Lillian Saucier Chenevert.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Lemoine Chenevert of Plaucheville; one son, Gary Phillip and wife Claire Chenevert of Plaucheville; two daughters, Sandra Chenevert Lemoine of Pineville and Janet Chenevert Cook of Alexandria; one sister, Jean Bordelon of Plaucheville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 29 at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Wake service will be Thursday, March 29 at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport at 7 p.m. Re-open the following day, Friday, March 30, at 8 a.m.
