Private graveside services for Julius Vincent Laborde will be held at a later date with entombnent in St. Joseph Mausoleum #2 in Marksville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mr. Laborde, age 78, of Marksville passed away at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria on Thursday, April 12, 2012. He was a talented carpenter.

He lived all of his life in Marksvile, his residence on Washington Street on part of his family's (Moreau) land which has been in the family since the early 1800s.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Ann Laborde who passed away on February 29, 2012.

He is survived by three sons, Vincent Laborde & wife Shirley of San Antonio, TX, Mark Laborde & wife Brenda of Walker, LA and Nathan Laborde & wife Beth of Brouillette, one sister, Lolita Laborde of Mississippi, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
