State Police said Latherrio Austin, 29, of Jonesboro lost control of the ATV about 8 p.m. Saturday.
Austin was traveling west on Louisiana Highway 542 when he attempted to turn left onto Cynthia Street. He lost control of the ATV, traveled into a ditch and struck a tree and was ejected upon impact.
Austin was not wearing a helment, troopers said.
