Funeral services for April Dawn Holston will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at the St. Landry Baptist Church with the Reverends Joe Jenkins and Wayne Holston officiating. Burial will be in the Vandenburg Cemetery in Chicot under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.

Ms. Holston, age 37 of St. Landry, passed away in Ville Platte on Thursday, July 12, 2012. She was a 1992 graduate of Bayou Chicot High School.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Claude and Juanita Holston and her maternal grandfather, Evan Fontenot.

She is survived by her daughter, Chelsea Johnson of Pine Prairie; her son, Aaron Johnson of Pine Prairie; her father, Gary Holston and his wife, Charlie Marie, of St. Landry; her mother, Connie Finnegan Holston of St. Landry; two sisters, Misty Johnson and her husband, Jarrad, of Pine Prairie and Jenna Holston of St. Landry; one brother, Jonathan Holston of Abbeville; and her maternal grandmother, Clemence Klumpp of Ville Platte.

Visitation will be at the St. Landry Baptist Church on Friday, July 13, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and on Saturday, July 14, 202 from 8 a.m. until service time.
