Funeral services for Leroy Johnson of Marksville will take place at the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Mansura on Saturday, June 30, 2012, beginning at 10 a.m. Burial services will commence at the St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Mansura. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Escudé Funeral Home.

Leroy Johnson, age 69, passed away at the Avoyelles Hospital on Wednesday, June 20, 2012.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Mae Johnson; daughter, Donna Marie Johnson; parents, Jimmy and Ethel Johnson; brother, Calvin Johnson.

He is survived by his son, Leroy J. Johnson of Los Angeles; step-children, Beverly Miner of Mansura, Samuel Smith of Marksville, Jessie Andrew of Marksville, Homer Keno of Marksville, son-in-law, Edwin Oglesby, Sr. of Los Angeles; brothers, Johnny Johnson of Mansura, David C. Johnson of Marksville; sisters, Ruth Thomas of Houston, Lillie M. Francisco of Houston. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitations will be held at the Escudé Funeral Home of Mansura prior to the funeral, from 7 a.m to 10 a.m.
