Robert was the son of the late Oliver and Beulah Walter Prier of Mansura, Louisiana.
Surviving siblings include Mary Ruth Kelley of Bunkie, Louisiana, Marion Desselles of Marksville, Louisiana, and Donald (Mary) Gregory Prier of Houston, Texas and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by four brothers, John Huey Prier, John Byron Prier, Oliver Peter Prier, and Willie Pryor, and four sisters Mary Rita Williams, Mary Louise Augustine, Mary Margaret Wilkins, and Mary Alzica James.
Grave side services to be held at Houston National Cemetery on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 2:30pm.
