Jacob Bordelon, age 82, passed away at the Dubuis Hospital of Alexandria on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. Jacob Bordelon was known by his family and friends as “Boy.” He loved horseback riding, tending to his cattle, good blues music and telling stories in French with good friends. His loved ones will remember him as a man who “marched to the beat of his own drum” and they will never forget him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Odalie (Zimmer) Bordelon; sisters, Cecile Barousse and Marena Ponthier Jacobs; and brother, Ory Bordelon.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Marilyn Bordelon; two daughters, Marsha Desselle and her husband Alfred and Vickie Arnouville and her companion, Bobby Dupré; and one son, Wade Bordelon and wife Sherry. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lucas Desselle, Clint Arnouville, Desiree Desselle Guillot, Kelby Jace Arnouville, Rebecca Bordelon Bernard; step-grandchild, Mason Juneau; and also numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitations will take place at the St. Peter’s Catholic Church Hall on Saturday morning, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
