Ervin Barzare, age 85, of Eunice died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at Acadian Medical Center. Visitation at Quirk & Son Funeral Home is from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM Wednesday, June 18, 2008, with a rosary at 7 p.m., and from 8 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
Funeral service will be at Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 19, 2008. Entombment to follow at St. Ann's Mausoleum in Mamou.
Vernice M. Bordelon
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel for Vernice Marie Bordelon, 90, who passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Oak Lane Wellness & Rehabilitation in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.
Mrs. Bordelon was a resident of Eunice and a homemaker who loved gardening, flowers and sewing. A sister, Percy Mae Thibodeaux of Eunice and a host of nieces and nephews survive her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Evy Bordelon; her parents, Olide and Meline Fontenot; two brothers, Tanice and Vinel Fontenot; two sisters, Celima Fontenot and Bernice Vidrine.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Thursday, June 19, 2008 from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Wednesday.
