Services: Services for Mrs. Iris Faye Laborde will be held on 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 31, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marksville with Father Rusty Rabalais officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Mausoleum #2. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Visitation: Visitation will be at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home on Sunday, August 30, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and from 8:00 am until shortly before time of service on Monday. A Chrisitan Wake Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Mrs. Laborde, age 75, of Hickory Hill passed away at Colonial Nursing Home in Marksville on Saturday, August 29, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Odis and Mae Z. Bordelon, and brother, Michael Charles Bordelon.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Dawson Laborde of Hickory Hill, 1 son, Craig Laborde & wife Sandra of Marksville, 3 daughters, Donna Laborde Wall of Hickory Hill, Lisa Laborde of Groves, TX, and Laurie Laborde of Marksville, 2 brothers, Henry Bordelon & wife, Barbara of Marksville, Jimmie Bordelon & wife, Cindy of Hickory Hill, 1 sister, Linda Laborde & husband, Fenwick of Fifth Ward, 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
