Graveside services for Jules "Junior" Paul Turner will be at 12 noon on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 at the Garden Catacomb Mausoleum in Pythian Cemetery, Bunkie under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.

Mr. Turner, age 83, of Bunkie, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 at his residence. He was a retired carpenter and was a Navy veteran of World War II, having served on the aircraft carrier USS Ticondaroga.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Verna Lee Marcotte Turner of Bunkie and one sister, Jackie T. Henderson of Bunkie and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Lemoine and Patsy St. Romain.
