
Funeral services for Raymond J. Scallan, Sr. will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, December 2, 2009 with Pastor Douglas Bergeron officiating.
Raymond J. Scallan Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009. He is now in Heaven singing joyfully. He was born on April 21, 1922, in Mansura.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Visitation will be at Escude’ Funeral Home, Mansura, on Tuesday, December 1, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation resumes at New Life Assembly, Marksville on Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. until services.
He is preceded in death by two wives, Florence Bullock Scallan and Marie Scallan; a son, Bobby Jean Scallan; parents, George and Florisca Scallan.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Kathy Scallan II, of Baton Rouge; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Norman Deroche, of Houma; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two stepdaughters Carolyn Hileman and Peggy Emanuel.
