Due to the inclement and hazardous weather conditions all after-school activities will be canceled today, Thursday, February 11, 2010, according to School Superintendent Dwayne Lemoine. He said he will continue to monitor the weather conditions today, especially traveling over bridges and overpasses. There is still a possibility that schools may be released early today depending on weather conditions.

Since tomorrow was a scheduled District-wide Staff Development day and students were not attending anyway, a decision will be made later as to whether or not that Staff Development Day will be canceled. If the District-wide Staff Development is not canceled, it will be held at each school for teachers and adninistrators. The same holds true for St. Joseph High School In Plaucheville. The Avoyelles Public Charter School had no schedule day of school on Friday.
