Services for Derek Casmar Mayeaux will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Hixson Brothers Chapel in Marksville with Reverend Rusty Flek officiating. Interment will be in Richey Baptist Cemetery in Deville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Derek Mayeaux, age 25, of Moncla passed away at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria Saturday, March 28, 2010.

He is preceded in death by grandmothers, Lena Mayeaux and Sonja Wray, and uncles, Michael Dichiara and John Dichiara.

He is survived by his parents, Charles and Donna Mayeaux of Moncla, brothers, Devin and Dustin Mayeaux of Moncla; maternal grandparent, Philip Wray of Little Creek and wife Elaine; paternal grandparent, Louis Mayeaux of Marksville; great -great grandmother, Clara Sayer of Marksville; aunts, Darlene Sanders and Roddy of Marksville, Tanya Sellers of Alexandria, Doreen Mc-Mahan and Monty of Conway, Arkansas; uncles, Glenn Mayeaux and Anita of Brouillette, James Wray and Julie of Tioga, David Wray and Angie of Cotile; great aunts Claranell Gaspard of Marksville, Bonnie Sue and Bill Mckinney of Jena and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be held at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home on Monday, March 29, 2010 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and from 8 a.m. until funeral service on Tuesday.
