On June 6, 2010 the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office requested the State Fire Marshal’s assistance at the scene of this fire that occurred at 277 Stubb Taylor Road in Fields Louisiana. The fire was determined to be intentionally set and did endanger the lives of the two occupants that were inside when the fire was secretly set. Flammable liquids were arranged in the mobile home to cause the fire to spread quickly. Both occupants did escape unharmed however the structure sustained significant fire damage. Investigators from the Sheriff’s office and State Fire Marshal worked for several weeks to develop this case that today has resulted in this arrest.
State Fire Marshal Browning commended the professional work of both agencies to develop all the evidence that led to this arrest. “The crime of arson will not be tolerated in this State, when you use fire to destroy property and to hurt people we will find you and arrest you”, the fire marshal said.
